Dear Pastors and praying friends,
The month of June was a very busy month, but we are so thankful that God has allowed us to see so many ministry opportunities!
Medical Clinic:
We have had a partnership with Medical Missions Outreach for over a decade, and have seen many patients come through their clinics. As a result, we have seen many people come to know Christ! During the first week of June, we had 25 doctors, nurses, and students visit Arequipa and see over 1,000 patients. More importantly, we had over 200 people who made professions of faith saying they placed their trust in Jesus Christ. Please pray for us as we continue to do follow up through our local churches as we seek to help these new believers go into discipleship and be part of a local church.
Emmanuel Baptist Church
Efrain Tello has been a great friend for many, many years, and he has been a very faithful servant of the Lord. He started Emmanuel Baptist Church seven years ago in an area called Apipa. I had the honor and privilege of preaching for him during the church’s anniversary service in the month of June. Please pray for Pastor Efrain as they continue to reach people through Emmanuel Baptist Church in a very needy area of the city.
One Month Interns
Five days before seven college aged students were scheduled to make their way to Peru for a one month internship, we received news that the borders of Arequipa would be closing, and that the students would not be allowed to enter. We prayed and asked the Lord to open doors so that these students could change their flights and arrive the weekend before the borders closed. Thankfully, all seven were able to change their flights, and the Lord provided everything for them to make it to Peru. The Lord has been working in their hearts, and I ask you to pray for them as they stay through the end of July.
Please pray that God would call missionaries and that He would send them to preach the Gospel around the world.
