Wow, all I can say is 2021 has started off with bang! I have now been in Peru for a whole month and a lot has happened. I was able to find an apartment that is fully furnished, so I didn’t have to worry about buying a bunch of furniture and so on. I am officially in my third week of language school and am learning a lot. I am not very good at English grammar, so learning Spanish grammar has definitely been a little difficult. Continue to pray for me as I learn the language and for my teacher haha.
Right now in Peru the government has decided to set up a daily curfew at 8pm each night. They have also restricted personal vehicles on Saturdays and Sundays. They have restricted churches to 0% capacity, so many churches are not having service until this rule lets up. Fortunately, our church is still having services as well as another church plant I have been able to be a part of. Please be praying for this situation with Covid and that things would get back to normal here.
The ministry here is still continuing on despite the restrictions and God is still doing a work. In the new church plant its been great to see all the kids that have been coming to hear the Gospel. The church is outside the city in a poorer area. It breaks my heart to see that most don’t even have a Bible and when you give them one they don’t know where the books of the Bible are at. I have continued to see the stronghold of Catholicism here and it's terrible that they know of God, but don’t know Jesus as their Savior. Be praying that people would come to know Jesus as their Savior.
I thank you all for what you do! Until next time...
